Our RESEARCH Projects

We live in an era of growth and change. Our human population is the largest of all times, our cities bigger than ever and growing exponentially, and our technology the most advanced we have ever seen. It is an exciting time to live and work, full of shifting paradigms, opportunities and challenging issues. To practice design and planning in this environment calls for a thoughtful balance between familiar practice techniques and innovation.

To explore these new opportunities, we have formed the MKSK Research & Innovation Studio. The Studio supports collaborative efforts across the firm, to pool efforts and dive into the latest scientific discoveries, follow up on new ideas in design, and keep abreast of social and market changes. We believe that staying at the forefront of good design today requires the willingness to explore new ideas, and the courage to adapt. And we believe that new understanding leads to new ways of seeing and innovation, as we work to solve the pressing issues in our communities.
