Announcing 2025 Promotions

Luis Calvo, AICP, Associate Principal: I am truly honored to advance my career at MKSK as an Associate Principal. Over the past 10+ years, starting as an entry-level planner, it has been a privilege to grow professionally within a nationally eminent planning studio. I’m deeply grateful to our clients for their trust in our work, and I look forward to continuing to help shape vibrant communities across the Southeast and beyond.

Elizabeth Flaherty, HR Director, Associate Principal: As an Associate Principal at MKSK, I am excited to continue leading our Human Resource function, with an expanded focus on aligning the firm's strategic goals with our culture, which prioritizes employee wellness, continuous learning, and design excellence. I look forward to this next step in my career and am grateful for the support of my incredible colleagues and the opportunity to grow as a leader, as we continue to push the boundaries of our industry.

Trevor Traphagen, AICP, Senior Associate: As a Senior Associate, I am looking forward to continuing to support communities throughout central Ohio and sharpening our transportation planning knowledge base. I am grateful for the mentorship and support from all team members as we challenge ourselves to expand our areas of expertise.

Lisl Kotheimer, PLA, LEED AP, Senior Associate: As a Senior Associate, I look forward to providing leadership in project design and design communication for everyone at MKSK. I’m excited to continue to work with my colleagues to create top quality deliverables that elevate our work, advance the project vision, and achieve the goals of our clients.

Sean Hare, AICP, Senior Associate: Being promoted to Senior Associate is a tremendous honor. My growth and success at MKSK is very much due to the incredible team of people here at MKSK. I find myself continuing to learn and be motivated by my colleagues every day to improve on what we deliver to our clients. The recent years focusing my work on strategic designs and development planning projects has been tremendously fulfilling and given me opportunities to grow my own skillset and expertise. I am looking forward to this next step in my career and continued growth alongside my peers. 

Haley Wolfe, ASLA, PLA, Associate: I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of Associate at MKSK. Every day I am excited to be growing with such a talented team! With 11 years of experience in Landscape Architecture, I’ve worked across the country with both private developers and municipalities. I am currently focused on project sites in Hilton Head Island, Florida, Michigan, and Dublin’s Bridge Park district. This new role further expands my expertise in project management, client connections, and ensuring the places we create reach their fullest potential. I have always loved the mix of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration with the inspiring communities that comes with this work—and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead!

Richard Mills, Associate: I am energized to begin this new chapter of my career at MKSK. It's a privilege to work with a group of forward-thinking designers and practitioners, and it gets me excited to be a continuing contributor to the firm's mission and success.

Abigail Fiala, ASLA, PLA, Associate: I am excited to take this next step at MKSK and continue to develop my skills as a designer and project manager. As an Associate, I'm looking forward to tackling new creative and professional challenges and continuing to work on projects that are inspirational and impactful. 

Benjamin Kern, CNU-A, Associate: As an Associate, I’m honored to be part of a firm that is sought out to add value to communities through uncommon perspective, restlessness toward mediocrity, eager and collaborative planning, and truly remarkable design!

Jordan Furlong, Landscape Architect III: I’m proud to have played a role in many notable projects at MKSK that have left lasting impacts on our communities. As I continue to develop in my role as a designer, I look forward to pushing the boundaries of our profession and collaborating with my fellow, talented colleagues.

Leah Li, Landscape Architect II: I'm looking forward to my new role. I'm excited to practice my passion for Landscape Architecture by working on projects I admire and with people I respect!

Ryan Atkinson, Landscape Architect II: My new role has inspired me to keep pushing the boundaries our industry, blending sustainability and creativity to shape spaces that are as innovative as they are environmentally responsible. I’m looking forward to continued growth and designing for a greener future.

Bryan Conner, Urban Planner II: I am thrilled to continue my journey at MKSK. I am inspired daily by the passion and talent of my colleagues which motivates me to grow creatively, intellectually, and personally through our work. I am excited to keep shaping places in which we all want to live!
