We are excited to announce the addition of the following Landscape Architects and Planners to our design team.

Glen Deal, PLA, Senior Associate brings 23 years professional experience in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design with versatility in a variety of markets, including community planning, academic and healthcare campus planning and design, streetscape design, resort and hospitality planning and design, and mixed-use development. He has worked on such high-profile projects as the Georgia World Congress Center Ph. 4 Expansion, Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina Expansion, Reebok Headquarters, and Atlantic Station Brownfield Redevelopment in Atlanta. Glen views each place and project as having its own unique characteristics, context, and opportunities. He is passionate about providing clients and communities long-lasting, sustainable solutions, that result in vibrant and memorable destinations people enjoy. Glen has a Master of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University, 1994, and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting, from the Pennsylvania State University, 1992.

Jesse Hartman, PLA joins MKSK after a year of teaching Landscape Architecture studio courses at The Ohio State University. Prior to his academic work he practiced in San Francisco where he collaborated and coordinated with multidisciplinary design teams on urban design, higher education and healthcare campus projects at all stages of the design process, from concept to implementation.  As both a planner and designer, he is passionate about Landscape Architecture’s ability to create memorable spaces that strengthen communities and ecologies. His accolades include a 2012 Ohio Chapter ASLA Student Merit Award for his work Therapeutic Spaces for Veterans with PTSD and the 2010 Ohio Environmental Justice Short Film Contest 2nd Prize for Surrounded: A Story of South Columbus. Jesse has a Bachelor of Urban Planning from University of Cincinnati, 2006 and a Master of Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University, 2012.

Sherri Collison has more than eight years experience in planning for both public and private projects that includes revitalization and vision planning, private sector development planning, and planning policy. Her expertise includes site analysis, programming, conceptual design to visioning and master planning, while creatively addressing complex issues and opportunities. Since joining MKSK, she has been a part of the team for the Strategic Revitalization Plan for Castleton Neighborhood in Indianapolis and the Downtown Revitalization Plan for City of West Lafayette. Sherri has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Urban Design from Ball State University.

Sarah Lilly is a 2019 Master of City and Regional Planning graduate of The Ohio State University. She is passionate about fostering vibrant, strong communities through meaningful public engagement and strives to uncover the unique assets of a community by developing recommendations that build on its authentic identity. Sarah has been a part of the planning teams for the Great Parks of Hamilton County Comprehensive Master Plan and the Akron Middlebury and Kenmore Neighborhood Plans. She also co-created the inaugural “Strong Women. Strong Places.” Panel event hosted by the OSU City & Regional Planning Student Association and the Central Ohio American Planning Association, which this year brought together a diverse panel of female planning professionals at all stages in their careers.

Ben Kohls is a 2019 Masters of Landscape Architecture graduate of The Ohio State University. He received his Bachelor in Urban Affairs from Wright State University. Ben is drawn to the process of designing authentic spaces to bring people together and make cities more livable, and enjoys how Landscape Architecture addresses environmental, economic, and social issues through the lens of design. Ben brings a diverse toolkit of graphic design and production capability to projects. Through his academic research he has developed expertise in computational design and utilizing parametric software to develop interesting 3-dimensional visualizations. He has been an integral part of the design teams for Atlantic Crossing in Delray Beach, Florida and Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio.
