Dan Bier - Designer

Dan earned his Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in 2013 where he studied urbanism, land-water linkages, and theoretical practice. His undergraduate studies in landscape architecture at The Ohio State University helped inform his construction and practical based approach to design. His contemplative approach to design seeks to serve as an extension of a constructed composition. His ability to connect with private clients, design professionals, and municipality commissions, have allowed him to successfully plan and present a wide scale of projects, including community parks, district master plans, and civic street improvements.

Tee Coker, AICP – Planner

Tee has broad experience contributing to and leading complex community planning and development projects involving multidisciplinary teams and extensive public engagement. His projects have included downtown and corridor master plans, trail and greenway master plans, community wayfinding plans, marketing and branding charrettes, community education and outreach initiatives, and signage design guidelines, among others. Tee earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Furman University, as well as Master of Arts in History and Master of City and Regional Planning, from Clemson University.

Jacob Deason – Designer

Jacob is experienced working on a variety of project scales with respect to complex contexts, accommodating multiple functions, and synthesizing aesthetics. He organizes design and graphic communication using 3D visualizations, computer graphic rendering, and studio collaboration. His interests in various arts and natural sciences lead him to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture. When he is not in the office, Jacob enjoys focusing his creativity on sketching, photography, and music. Jacob graduated from Purdue University in 2018.

Anne Julian - Office Manager, Columbus

Anne moved to Columbus (from Akron, OH) in 2008 to study at the Columbus College of Art & Design where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture. While working for CCAD full time after graduation, she received a second BFA in History of Art & Visual Culture. Her role at MKSK includes office management, executive assistance, event planning and support of critical administrative operations. Anne looks forward to combining her design background with her role as Office Manager to create exciting opportunities for the team in and out of the office.

Ann Marie Kirby, AICP – Planner

Ann Marie has over 10 years of experience as a planner with most of her career spent in the public sector (Cincinnati, OH and Genesee County (Flint), MI) focusing on zoning and land use compatibility, long-range comprehensive planning, and facilitating effective community engagement. She began working for MKSK in July of this year where she manages projects to help resolve complex problems and promote pedestrian-scaled development with sound and realistic planning and engagement solutions related to zoning, land use, and transportation for clients across Michigan and the Midwest. Ann Marie currently works and lives in Midtown Detroit where she enjoys her short commute and often opts to bring her dog, Gibson, to join her at the office.

Brett Marsengill, PLA, AICP, LEED AP – Planner/Landscape Architect

With over 22 years and 80+ projects, Brett has successfully led high-profile planning, design and construction project on a national and international basis. His passion for design integration of urban context and ecological systems create memorable dynamic environments. With a specialization in large parks, his work can be found from Seattle to Las Vegas and San Francisco to Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and a Master of Environmental Planning from Arizona State University, and he spent time as an adjunct professor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Ahmed Mohamednur – Accountant

Ahmed is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s Fisher School of Business where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He joined MKSK to assist in the CFO’s office and is currently studying for the CPA exam.

Logan Neuhart – Information Technology Manager

Logan is a graduate of The Ohio State University with Bachelor of Arts and Science. For four years prior to joining the team full-time, Logan worked as an in-house consultant for MKSK while employed at BlairIT. Based in Columbus, Logan manages information technology and related fields at all seven of MKSK’s regional, metropolitan offices.

Jacquelyn Peelle – Office Manager, Indiana

Jacquelyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Kinesiology and Public Health Education from Purdue University. After working in non-profit and fundraising, she went back to continue her education at Marian University where she received Master of Education. She taught elementary school before joining MKSK.

Ryan Schultz - Designer

Ryan's work has supported a diverse range of commercial, residential, and master-planned community projects. He has managed several built projects from the initial concept phase through overseeing construction completion in the field. Spanning a career of over 14 years, his professional experiences included a year consulting with Walt Disney Imagineering and a critical role in incorporating a successful startup landscape architecture firm in Newport Beach. Ryan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University Knowlton School of Architecture in 2004.

Jonathan Staker – Designer

Jonathan learned about the fields of landscape architecture and planning while studying geology at Miami University. After achieving a Bachelor of Science, Jonathan went on to The Ohio State University where he earned a Master of Landscape Architecture. After graduating from OSU, he spent a year and a half in Denver, working on large scale, ecological restoration projects before joining MKSK.

Haley Wolfe, PLA - Landscape Architect

Haley is an Ohio State University graduate and recent PLA in Michigan. She began her career in hospitality and mixed-use development design and has supported numerous transportation and redevelopment planning projects since joining MKSK Detroit in March. Outside of work life, Haley is a gamer, lifter, and enjoys spending long weekends with family in Columbus.

Design Interns

Our interns are a crucial part of our team. From day one in the office, they work alongside our full-time design staff on client project work. We are proud to offer these bright young minds a chance to jumpstart their careers here at MKSK.

Cincinnati Office Move

After eleven years of continuous growth and involvement in Downtown Covington’s renaissance, MKSK is pleased to announce that we are reinvesting in the future of Greater Cincinnati with our new office in Over the Rhine.

Find us at 1818 Race Street directly across from Findlay Market.

Columbus Office Renovations

Pardon our dust while our Columbus headquarters gets a facelift over the next few months. We are expanding collaboration spaces and updating technology to better connect both internally and externally with each other, our partners, and our clients.
