Master plan for community park expands recreational uses
Ballantrae Park integrates a dynamic water feature with a rural Midwest site to create a scenic community park. Located on the outskirts of Dublin, Ohio, Ballantrae Park is a pastoral landscape of fields, tree groves, and lakes with unique design features that provide opportunities for exploration, discovery, and recreation for all ages.
The rural character of the park site is reinforced with the use of low, dry-laid, stone field walls that follow the narrow entry drive to the park. A whimsical sculpture of dancing hares and an interactive water play feature form the heart of the park. Another stone wall provides a dramatic curve, extending into the largest lake and re-emerging near the entrance.

Unique design ideas were required to create and integrate a realistic-looking rock wall and fountain in the middle of an open, flat field. Conceptual design through construction documents and observation were completed for this signature park project for the City of Dublin.
