Growing up in Harrison, Ohio, Tony Roell developed an early appreciation for the role that historic downtowns and public spaces play in shaping community identity and fostering meaningful connections. That experience sparked a lifelong interest in how culture, history, and the built environment come together to create memorable places. Today, with more than 20 years of professional experience throughout the Midwest, he remains passionate about helping communities strengthen their sense of place through thoughtful planning and design.

Tony's work is grounded in the belief that successful places emerge from a deep understanding of local character, shared history, and community aspirations. He collaborates closely with public agencies, institutions, developers, and community stakeholders to create environments that reflect the unique identity of each place while supporting long-term economic, social, and cultural vitality. His experience includes downtown revitalization initiatives, mixed-use developments, public parks, civic and cultural spaces, campus environments, and community planning efforts.

As an Associate Principal, Tony provides leadership in project delivery, client development, and strategic growth initiatives across the firm's practice. He guides multidisciplinary teams through all phases of planning and design, helping communities navigate complex challenges while identifying opportunities for transformative investment. Through a collaborative and people-centered approach, he works to create places that honor local character, inspire community pride, and serve as catalysts for long-term vitality.
