Kym is passionate about context- and community-driven design processes that create meaningful, well-loved public spaces and promote design practices that empower people and support thriving ecosystems.

Kym's experience in urban planning and community engagement has shaped her passion for inclusive and place-based designs and design processes. Her career started on the east coast, where her work spanned site, neighborhood and territorial scales. Focused on public spaces, her project experience includes urban waterfronts, urban agriculture, ecological sanctuaries, greenways, playgrounds, historic/cultural landscapes, and parks and recreation planning for city, county and state governments.
