We are excited to announce the additions of the following Designers and Planners to our team!

Corey Seltenright, Associate, has more than 10 years experience in Landscape Architecture leading multi-discipline teams. His experience is diverse and includes master planning, specialized site design, garden design, and construction detailing. Corey’s projects have included a range of residential, mixed-use, hotel and resort, commercial, civic, and recreational developments. His most recent works have included the renovations of Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, Shore Club, and Saxony Condos and Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Corey has also worked abroad master planning for large-scale projects like the Abu Dhabi Naval Base, Richmond Bay Ecolodge in Dominica, and Atlantis in The Bahamas, as well as Atlantis Dubai on Palm Jumeirah. Corey graduated from Ball State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture.

McKenzie Wilhelm, ASLA, Designer, graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Landscape Architecture. McKenzie is a 2013 National Olmsted Scholar and 2019-2020 Landscape Architecture Foundation Board Member. She has contributed to a range of complex urban projects both in the Midwest and across the country as a past Designer at Reed Hilderbrand and Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates in Boston, Massachusetts, including Pier 4 Waterfront Park in Boston’s Seaport District, and on-going resiliency and connectivity development along Columbus’s riverfront. McKenzie’s passion is uncovering the essential qualities of a landscape, rooting her creative process in a desire to understand and articulate the relationships between the land, plants, and nature.

Lana Merrill, ASLA, has returned to MKSK after working in Chicago and San Francisco for two multi-discipline firms. Her background includes processing and analyzing site survey and data collection, coordination and preparation of resource materials for meetings and public presentations, conceptual design and graphic renderings, and project management with campus and mixed-use projects in Virginia, Illinois, and California. Lana interned and then joined MKSK as a Designer in 2013 following her graduation from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture.

Ben Palevsky, Transportation Planner, is a 2019 Master of City and Regional Planning graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2015 from the University of Michigan. Ben has a broad range of experience, including neighborhood planning, transportation planning, and urban design. He is passionate about investing in public health, equity and environmental sustainability through public infrastructure and design. During graduate school, he interned with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority and the Philadelphia Office of Complete Streets where he worked on enhancing public and active transportation in the city. Ben has been integral to transportation plans throughout Michigan in his work at MKSK.

Pei Ju Yen, Designer, is a 2019 Masters of Landscape Architecture graduate of The Ohio State University. Originally from Taiwan, she received her Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture from Tunghai University. Pei Ju believes Landscape Architecture is a unique profession that builds the bridge between people and place. She is especially interested in the interactions between people and water. Her expertise includes landscape planning and design, environmental research, and construction documentation with a focus on analysis diagramming, 3D modeling, and 2D drawing.

Wanchen Wang, Designer, is a 2019 Masters of Landscape Architecture graduate from The Ohio State University. With experience in environmental design and planning at Zhejiang University Urban-Rural Planning & Design Institute, she uncovers the vital importance of both place and environment. Wanchen explores the interactions between these ideas and develops roles to bridge them together, allowing both to flourish to create a meaningful experience. Since joining MKSK, she has been an integral part of the Landscape Architecture team.

Catherine Muscaro, Marketing and Business Development Coordinator, recognizes the value of community and strives to connect people to place through storytelling, understanding how the spaces we use and the places we reside impact our identity. Catherine focuses on how the people living in these communities interact with and connect to the transformed landscapes through use of imagery and writing. She graduated in 2019 with Bachelor of Journalism Strategic Communication from Ohio University.
