New community campus design creates an inclusive space combining education and youth soccer
MKSK’s Community Impact Studio is proud to have helped the Final Third Foundation (F3) develop their vision for the F3 HUB, the organization’s true operational headquarters and a community gathering place located at Pathways Park near Easton Town Center and along Alum Creek, in Central Ohio.
The Final Third Foundation focuses on combining educational programing and soccer to foster inclusive learning and growing environments for minority youth populations. Their programs include, "Soccer and Literacy," The Environmental Awareness Program, and Professional Development. F3 believes soccer can be an equalizer across communities and a catalyst to build a better generation. Through their integrated approach to learning, F3 catalyzes the growth of the beautiful game and leveling of the playing field on and off the pitch.
To kick-start the fundraising for the F3 HUB, MKSK worked alongside F3 leadership to develop a presentation and visualizations for “Philanthropitch”, a social impact fast-pitch competition for innovative and scalable nonprofits. The renderings and depictions of the proposed Innovation Center and Outdoor Learning Center & Shelter launched F3’s fundraising campaign for this key investment in the organization’s growth.
Beyond the supporting the vision for the F3 HUB, MKSK maintains a commitment to helping F3’s Environmental Awareness Program with rewilding efforts along the highly sensitive Alum Creek riparian corridor, and with additional sustainability endeavors at Pathways Park.
This project continues the Community Impact Studio’s commitment in advancing the public good by fostering meaningful opportunities to facilitate, participate, and champion MKSK volunteerism to address community needs and positively impact lives.
