Kelly Murphy’s passion lies in engaging communities and clients to design and implement impactful and resonant spaces in the public realm. She brings wide-ranging experience in landscape architectural design and project management, navigating complex projects including parks, urban mixed-use developments, roof terraces, and waterfront revitalizations.
She advocates for a deeper connection between education and practice, having served as a Visiting Lecturer in Professional Practice at OSU's Knowlton School (MLA Program) and an Adjunct Professor of Design Media at the Illinois Institute of Technology (MLA+Urbanism program).
Invested in civic stewardship and regional ecology, Kelly shares expertise with the Friends of the Chicago River Planning Committee and the River Ecology and Governance Task Force Development Review Working Group as a WEDG Associate, ensuring that urban development balances public accessibility and environmental resilience.
